Electric start related problem for my new bike honda unicorn dazzler?

i just recently purchased a honda unicorn dazzler and it oly comes wit electric start and no kick start..so when i start it the engine starts and when i try revving it a little the engine shuts down and it repetedly does that..so i used the choke and when i started it again it starts properly..so is it advisable to use the choke everytime i start it..wont that deplete fuel big time...or is there something wrong wit the bike..
