How do I get my microphone as loud as my music on my computer?

I have a mono setup with speaker, line in and microphone. I play my music on a music program called 'Cakewalk Express' on the lowest setting with a waveform generator with an output. I have an audio recorder program. I have a little karaoke device for my microphone with an audio input.
