How much should it cost for a guitar set-up?

So i went into music room today and asked how much a guitar setup would be for an electric guitar and the guy said �35!! that is a ridiculously crazy price to make a few adjustments to a guitar :-S what is like a good price for a setup? if its anywhere near 35 il probably do it myself...Im a student thats why im so tight btw
